If you watched the special edition of No Reservations - Food Porn, then you saw Bourdain sit down with David Chang at Momofuku Ssam Bar in New York. Over shaved foie gras and lychee with a riesling gelee they began talking about guilty pleasures – those shameful foods that draw you in for inexplicable reasons. Bourdain confesses to an obsession with “nuclear orange” KFC mac and cheese and Chang gives up that his guilty pleasure is chicken nuggets with sweet and sour sauce. I found it hard to believe that these ultimate foodies would admit to eating anything that comes from powdered cheese and processed chicken! But don’t we all have our vices?

It’s the new year so I feel obligated to say something about resolutions. I’m not much for making resolutions because I end up making one then forgetting it two weeks later. Besides - if I REALLY wanted to change something I would have done it by now and not waited for that special day where I begin having to cross out the last digits I write on the date section of my checks because I just can’t get it right.

We here at Fort Worth Foodie were honored to serve as judges for this year’s ZestFest Fiery Food Challenge. The Golden Chile is one of the most prestigious awards that a zesty product on the market can win. These products encompass over 80 categories of salsas, marinades, rubs, barbecue sauces, snacks, candies, and more. Now that’s a LOT of fiery food - and I have the holes in my stomach to prove it.

I see my little “New Mail!” message pop-up and am ecstatic to see that it’s about food! New message from OpenTable about Restaurant Week and fancy restaurants where I can get tons of points. I don’t use OpenTable that often – but I’m not opposed to getting points for something that I already do.

When I first noticed the quaint Cupcake Cottage on Camp Bowie Blvd. I was outraged. How could the vender of precious miniature cakes anger me, you ask? Well, I wanted a cupcake shop too. Truth be told, I had never thought of it before, but the moment I saw this boutique, I recognized the greatness in the idea.
