Celebrity chef Mario Batali is famous for more than his red ponytail and cocky kitchen presence. His rubbery orange kitchen shoes, known as Crocs, have taken the world by storm. The kicks are found in and out of the kitchen, on tiny toddler feet and even college campuses. Having popularized the brand, Crocs now plans to issue a special design dubbed the “Bistro Mario Batali Shoe.”
The shoe was designed with professional chefs in mind but will surly be popular with home-cooks as well. Arch supports and “foot bed circulation nubs” ensure lasting comfort while slip resistant soles and a thick top layer promise safety in the kitchen. Crocs are now being made with odor and bacteria resistant material, so maintenance is a cinch. Or just do as Batali does, and let your Crocs take a ride in the dishwasher. http://www.crocs.com
